Fashion Design Graduate Ali Rahimi Designs for Emmy-Nominee Jane Lynch
August 21st, 8pm

Jane Lynch, the Emmy-nominated star of the hit television show , "Glee," looked stunning in VMCAD Fashion Design graduate Ali Rahimi's gown at the at the Creative Arts Emmy® Awards on August 21 in Los Angeles.  Lynch was named 'Best Dressed' of the evening by fashion critic Steven Cojocaru in an "Entertainment Tonight" feature: Cojocaru dubbed Lynch and her look "Grace Kelly 2010."


Fashion Show Production presents – "Lights, Camera, Fashion."

Join Virginia Marti College Fashion Merchandising students as they present a fashion show reflecting on movies that have inspired fashion throughout time. The show starts at 7pm on Friday, September 3rd. The event is free and open to the public.


FGI Event: Social Media Strategy for Businesses

Fashion Group International of Cleveland will present a program on "A Social Media Strategy for Business" at 6 p.m. Monday at the Virginia Marti College of Art and Design, 11724 Detroit Ave., Lakewood. Speakers will be Crystal Thies, a social media and LinkedIn consultant, and J.T. Thomas, owner of the Fashion TV network. Plain Dealer Features VMCAD APL Fashion Show

Congratulations to all the fashion design students and grads who made this amazing event possible.

More than 500 guests packed Anatomy Nightclub in Cleveland's Warehouse District for a night of fashion and fun on Saturday, July 17. The sold-out event featured the work of fashion designers from Virginia Marti College of Art and Design. Guest models included Dara LaPorta (wife of Indians player Matt LaPorta), Annie Thomas (wife of Browns player Joe Thomas) and Courtney Rosellini (girlfriend of Indians player Trevor Crowe). Cleveland Animal Protective League spokeswoman Amy Hafner (wife of Indians player Travis Hafner) served as emcee. Organizers said about $2,500 was raised for the APL.

Virginia Marti College Presents the 2010 APL Metromix Fashion Show

Metromix and Virginia Marti College of Art & Design teamed up with Indians' and Browns' wives to help the Cleveland APL on Saturday, July 17th at 7:30pm.

The event was open to the public. Tickets were $15 and VIP seating tickets were $25.
