SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships can be a critical part of funding students’ education at art colleges in Ohio. Every Virginia Marti College of Art and Design student is encouraged to apply to those they qualify for, depending on your accomplishments and/or financial need.

VMCAD offers the following financial resources and allows students to apply for additional outside art scholarships. Find one that fits your qualifications, and get the full VMCAD Scholarship Resource Packet.

VMCAD COLLEGE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The VMCAD College Foundation is a charitable organization supported by donors, local businesses and foundations. In addition to providing training and community alliances, it also offers scholarships to outstanding students.

Applicants must:

  • Be accepted and enrolled at VMCAD
  • Have a GPA of at least 2.8 if you’ve graduated high school in the last three years
  • Submit a resume if you’ve been out of school for three years or longer
  • Submit three letters of recommendation
  • Demonstrate financial aid OR outstanding skills

CLIFTON ARTS & MUSIC FEST STUDENT ART SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship of $750 is available to up to two recipients enrolled in an accredited arts education program. The student must demonstrate artistic excellence through submission of a profile. Winners are usually selected each year in June. Get more details and apply.

THE CLEVELAND FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

With a wide range of scholarships for graduating high school seniors and adults pursuing professional development, the Cleveland Foundation provides awards to multiple students attending accredited higher education institutions every year. Some scholarships amount to $5000, making this foundation a great resource. Find the Cleveland Foundation scholarships information you need to apply.

FATHOM EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

This annual scholarship of $4,000 will be awarded to one purpose-driven recipient. The entrant must be a full-time college student committed to educational excellence and community impact.  Scholarship deadline for 2014 is September 30th. Read complete Fathom Education scholarship criteria.
